Opteon is an international provider of independent valuation, advisory and specialist property services in the Australian, New Zealand and the United States with turnover of approximately $150m.Achievements: As part of the Finance Leadership Team and reporting to the Group CFO, I was involved in the Finance Group Restructure which resulted in my role changing from the Financial Controller of Australia/New Zealand to the Group Financial Controller. Successful accounting and consolidation of three acquisitions. I was a part of the Workday Financials ERP implementation and Aurion payroll system implementation. Re-designed and managed the group cash flow forecasting.

O’Brien Group Australia is the largest privately-owned hospitality, entertainment, and leisure company in Australia with turnover of approximately $100m. For over 25 years, the O’Brien Group has operated many of Australia’s premier venues, employs over 6,500 people and serves approximately 16 million customers on an annual basis.Achievements: Monthly financial reports bought forward and provided to management two days earlier. Achieved by understanding all tasks required by each team member, bringing forward completion dates and reducing approval times. Opened new higher interest earning bank account generating approximately $48k in additional revenue per year from surplus cash on hand.

RMD Industries is a privately-owned group with an industrial focus operating in the manufacturing and B2B distribution of metal-based components through its two divisions (Downee & Pratco) with turnover of approximately $50m.Achievements: Created the cash flow forecast which was used to calculate dividends payable and invest surplus funds in multiple currencies generating approximately $50k in additional revenue per year. Brought on board new vendors such as Corporate Traveller which led to cost reductions of approximately $24k per year in addition to faster and more accurate reporting. Reduced the month end reporting process down from seven days to five resulting in the financial reports being issued to management and the board two days earlier.

Alumina Limited is an ASX top 200 listed company that invests in bauxite mining and alumina refining through Alcoa World Alumina & Chemicals (AWAC), through the joint venture with Alcoa with a turnover of approximately $5b.My role included Business Analysis, Planning and Forecasting, Managing the Group's valuation model, providing assistance to the treasurer and investor relations manager, completion of monthly, half-yearly and annual reporting including preparation of the Operational and Financial Review.

BHP Billiton is an ASX top 20 listed company that is a world-leading resources company headquartered in Melbourne, Australia, where products are sold worldwide with a turnover of approximately US$60b.I was at BHP on a three month contract collating data, reviewing and verifying information, culminating in the preparation of the half-year external financial reports.

I commenced with KPMG in 2003 after completing university. I completed a two year secondment with the KPMG Chicago office from October 2006 through September 2008 specialising on SEC registrants reporting in US GAAP and SOX compliance.
