Michael Shores was the CEO of New China Ventures, a financier formed to secure capital from strategic Asian investors for companies with “Game Changing” Intellectual Property (IP). Mr. Shores was responsible for setting strategic market objectives, evaluating IP and aligning New China Ventures clients with correct global supply chain partners that often become investors. He also served as one of their “Cultural Interpreters” having worked with Asia for over 20 years now. New China Ventures focuses on the Automotive, Energy, Medical and Telecommunications arena.

Mr. Shores was President & CEO of Texas Prototypes, a company he co-founded and grew rapidly into the industry leader for PCBA prototyping and product realization. Texas Prototypes was actually the first standalone bridge between Engineering and Manufacturing that helped implement Design for Manufacturability. He not only assisted Fortune 500 companies but also Entrepreneurs in getting their products prepared to launch into the global marketplace. Mr. Shores is an accomplished entrepreneurial executive with a deep background in both high-tech product development and manufacturing. In the early 90’s he actually started his career in the Investment Banking arena with Merrill Lynch and then spending time at both Lehman Brothers and Bear Stearns. Over the last two decades, he has been successfully involved in helping launch new high tech products into the automotive, consumer, energy, medical, networking and communications market. He has been instrumental in launching over $700 million US dollars worth of products into the marketplace globally. Prior to founding TXP, Mr. Shores helped “green field” a New Product Introduction (NPI) center in 1997 for Flextronics in Richardson, Texas and then went on to help launch their photonics division. Mr. Shores later negotiated successfully the spin-off of his NPI group from Flextronics in late 2001 thus forming Texas Prototypes. The company eventually changed its name to TXP after acquiring the Optical Network Terminal product line and team from Siemens in 2006.
