  • Broad Institute Of Mit And Harvard
    Research Associate
Broad Institute Of Mit And Harvard Aug 2016 - Sep 2020
    Cambridge, Massachusetts
Understanding drug resistance in cancer by single-cell RNA-seq, lineage tracing, and functional genomics
  • Dana-Farber Cancer Institute
    Undergraduate Summer Student
    Dana-Farber Cancer Institute May 2015 - Jan 2016
    44 Binney St. Boston, Ma
"In vitro modeling of cancerous chromosome 8p arm-level deletion with CRISPR/Cas9 systems"Continuing work from the previous summer, our group utilized CRIPSR/Cas9-directed homologous recombination with a donor DNA template to develop chromosome 8p arm-level deletion in cancer cell lines.Principle Investigator: Dr. Matthew Meyerson, M.D., Ph.D.Postdoctoral Fellow, Mentor: Dr. Alison Taylor, Ph.D.
  • Trinity College Biology Department
    Teaching Assistant, Genetics
Trinity College Biology Department Sep 2015 - Dec 2015
    Hartford, Connecticut Area
Conducted TA sessions for conceptual review and problem set help. Tutored some students individually.
  • Dana-Farber Cancer Institute
    Undergraduate Summer Student
    Dana-Farber Cancer Institute May 2014 - Aug 2014
    44 Binney St. Boston, Ma
In Dr. Matthew Meyerson's genomics-focused laboratory, I worked with postdoctoral fellow Dr. Alison Taylor in researching the effects of chromosome arm copy alterations in various cancer types using CRISPR Cas9 system technology. During my time in the lab, we utilized artificial telomere DNA and Cas9 to direct double-strand break induced homologous recombination. With this method, we ultimately developed robust models chromosome arm-level aneuploidies in vitro.
  • Trinity College Chemistry Department
Teaching Assistant, Introduction To Chemistry Laboratory
Trinity College Chemistry Department Sep 2013 - Dec 2013
    Hartford, Connecticut Area
Graded laboratory notebook entries. Assisted students with laboratory protocols. Monitored lab safety.
  • Trinity College - Genomics Research Program
    Research Student
Trinity College - Genomics Research Program Sep 2012 - Dec 2013

  • Heritage Pool & Racquet Club
    Swim Coach/Instructor
Heritage Pool & Racquet Club May 2013 - Aug 2013
    Concord, Ma
At Heritage, I had the responsibilities of a Swim Team Coach, Swim Lesson Instructor, and Lifeguard with Water Safety Instruction and Lifeguard/CPR American Red Cross certifications. I worked with children and teenagers ages 5 to 17.
  • Dana-Farber Cancer Institute
    High-School Summer Student
    Dana-Farber Cancer Institute Jul 2010 - Aug 2010
    44 Binney St. Boston, Ma
At the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, I worked for five weeks in Dr. Alan D'Andrea's laboratory. Dr. D'Andrea is a world leader in research of Fanconi Anemia, a rare hereditary disease that predisposes patients to severe skin carcinoma. I assisted a graduate student in his study of the FANCD2 gene, a key component in the Fanconi pathway and the source behind several cases of the disease. During my time in the lab, we developed mouse models and studied tumorigenesis of skin carcinoma in mice with both wild-type and heterozygous FANCD2 mutations.
