The laser sensitivity and purity of the beam changes due to creating different modulators with the right combinations of the Lithium Tantalate crystals. This was a difficult task and took precision, as well as a slight of hand when handling. The margin for error was very high and it was important to learn all the tricks and skills for avoiding these problems since it was such an expensive product to make.
