Acted as the Civil and Structural Engineering Manager for the Xe-100 High Temperature Gas Cooled Pebble Bed Reactor Project for X-energy. This role included management of preliminary and detailed design phases of design, including many early site development tasks (geotechnical boring drawing set development and environmental study reviews), as well as many detailed design phase efforts (final design criteria documents, final codes and standards documents, detailed design calculations, detailed design drawing sets, and specifications). This role also included management of multiple subcontractor teams, as well as a heavy focus on interfacing with a construction team to develop construction sequencing, planning, and cost estimates.

Acted as the Civil/Structural system engineer for the Xe-100 High Temperature Gas Cooled Pebble Bed Reactor Project for X-energy. This included organizing early design phase (concept and preliminary) efforts for the plant site layout, Nuclear Island, and Conventional Island Structural systems, as well as overseeing technical direction for the design, including the management of multiple sub-contracting teams performing design calculations, analysis, drawing development, and codes and standards development.

From that time on, as an Employee Owner, I was allowed to gain experience and increase my knowledge for structural engineering across a wide variety of applications including, but not limited to, nuclear power plants, coal power plants, natural gas power plants, transmission and distribution systems, sub-station systems, and aviation and facilities systems. This large breadth of knowledge allowed for quick and easy integration into other groups when they required assistance on projects, allowing me to 'go where the work was' and to continue to keep our clients successful.
