Analysis and Resolution of production issues with a large financial services provider's Identification Services.• Development of scripts and tools to assist with the support process using Shell scripts, PL/SQL, Java, Javascript, HTML, CSS, and C.• Rewrote an Applet based upload utility in Javascript to mitigate security concerns. Also wrote some web pages that provide bar graph views of pass rates over the past 24 hours for a newly released Equifax product.• Developed encryption/decryption utilities to allow sqlplus access to particular schemas for authorized users without them being able to view the passwords.• Wrote and/or rewrote numerous other shell scripts to provide monitoring, batch processing, reports, etc. Developed SQL code for data cleanup, and corrected issues with some stored procedures used for data aggregation.• Provide expertise during planning and performance of various procedures including disaster recovery, installations, and testing.

February 2013-June 2017: Development of back-end services and utilities using Java, IBM RAD, WebSphere, Hibernate, J2EE, Ant, SVN, Perl, and shell scripts for the BANDIT project which assists with the reclamation and reuse of old equipment to provide equipment cost savings.• Rewrote/enhanced the BANDIT TIRKSAcquirer service that pulls inventory data from the TIRKS system and persists availability data to an Oracle DB.• Developed/modified other back-end services. These interface with other systems that are used for generating, managing, and tracking work orders for equipment reclamation and for providing additional verification steps.• Developed/modified batch driven client services in Java that acquire a work list from the DB, generate executors for multi-threaded processing of calls to an EJB service and then monitors the progress until done.• Developed an on-demand microservice using Spring, Java, Hibernate, Junit, Mockito, Maven, SVN, and also developed Perl scripts to generate sets of test data for the U-verse DirecTV migration project.August 2000-January 2013: Analysis and Resolution of production issues with the AT&T DSL/BroadBand Network Management Systems (BBNMS) and several other AT&T applications. BBNMS provisions and manages service for millions of DSL & U-verse subscribers.• Designed and developed a Perl-based schedule processing script that looks in a DB or in a file for jobs to be run and then proceeds to execute the jobs.• Designed and developed a feature to synchronize data between two disparate databases: BBNMS’s vendor-defined NetExpert database and the Network Reporting System’s (NRS) database, using the Perl-based schedule processing script to call Perl and shell scripts to pull and compare data, and then generates NRS instructions to remove and/or add data to the NRS database.• Designed and wrote numerous application/data management utilities, monitoring utilities, etc. via Perl scripts, shell scripts, SQL scripts, and Java.

Managed several engineers while designing and developing features for MaxView Plus, including the multi- threaded GUI, the Authentication Server, and the InstallShield-based installation program. Helped save a major deal shortly after joining the company.• Developed most of the MaxView Plus GUI that is used for monitoring communications equipment.• Managed the development of the AuthenticationServer, which is used for user and process authentication.• Managed the development of the InstallShield installation program.

Managed several engineers in a project to integrate the email service of USA Net, Inc. with the telephony capabilities of Premiere Technologies.• Provided an interface that allowed the USA Net users to signup for the telephony services, including conference calling and more.• Provided an interface that tied the email system to the telephony system so the users can listen to their email and send email via the phone.• Wrote a detailed design document for the paging interface and helped design interfaces for other Premiere Technologies projects as well.

Assisted with catching criminals by developing the interface and workflow features for a fingerprint identification system, including designing and developing a new feature that automatically searches the unsolved case fingerprint database whenever any new print comes into the fingerprint system for the State Of Ohio. Rewrote a CAD utility that takes a file containing a custom specification for a machine part, and then generates the commands needed to automatically produce the part on a machine. Also assisted with other software development, testing, and documentation.

Developed features for a System Administration GUI for a new Unix computer that was being produced. Also, helped analyze, recreate, and correct various other system issues.

Developed & administered the Ground Processing and Scheduling System, an expert system used to schedule Orbiter work for upcoming space shuttle missions.• Received the NASA Space Act Award for my work on the Ground Processing and Scheduling System, which saves NASA millions of dollars per year through increased efficiency and reduction of time spent in meetings. This work primarily included development of C (w/Motif) and Lisp software that is part of GPSS but also included Unix system administration, Sybase database administration, and development of miscellaneous utilities as well.• Developed a LISP/CLOS based GUI which is used for importing worksheets and mapping them into data compatible with the Ground Processing and Scheduling System. This was used to get initial data into the system.• Helped rescue the PRACA project by jumping in and expediently developing DB Reporter reports, REXX scripts, and CSP code to help another department meet a significant deadline. Wrote reports using DB Reporter for the new PRACA problem reporting system.• Developed a system administration GUI and fixed some firing room software issues.
