I am a Mandarin-speaking media professional with 25 years of experience in greater China, the last 20 years in Beijing. I am the founder and CEO of True Run Media, which produces social media and events for the internationally-minded communities in China’s capital city and in Shanghai. True Run's product lines include the arts and entertainment guide The Beijinger (produced in separate English and Chinese language editions) and the family-focused brand Jingkids, aimed at upper income families seeking international education for their children, with English and Chinese language editions published in Beijing and Shanghai.We also run some of Beijing and Shanghai’s largest food festivals, drawing crowds of up to 20,000 consumers in a single weekend. I studied journalism and Mandarin Chinese at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and later earned an MBA with a concentration in Entrepreneurship and Marketing from Babson College.
