I was also doing new development work in SQL Server 2005 & 2008 using .NET 2005 versions of VB, C# and ASP. My most recent principal task was using Microsoft's SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) to migrate customers from our legacy UniVerse system to the new Aipeks/ClaimsVision system.

Sr. Software EngineerEpicor Software Corp 1994 - 2001Austin, Tx, Us- Created, maintained, and enhanced a Windows-based point-and-click reporting tool for use with UniVerse and UniData (U2) databases. The VB client interacts with a set of U2 programs and subroutines customized to use the native file and field security of each of the three Epicor ERP applications for U2.- Developed XML parser and related tools for all three of Epicor’s U2 ERP applications. Inbound XML documents are automatically fed to ERP application data entry screens with little or no custom code. Outbound documents are created by programs built by a code generator based on ‘map’ information provided by users. ‘Bridge Server’ component (written in VB) moves data between disparate servers using HTTP(S), FTP, MSMQ, Windows File Copy, and U2 “middleware”. - Wrote and maintained C programs to allow U2 applications to interact with Vertex Quantum for Sales and Use Tax software. This interface is currently supported on Windows, HP/UX, and AIX. It permits any U2 application to access Sales and Use Tax information and calculations without re-linking the database kernel or doing other environment-specific setup and configuration.
