Currently leading a 55-member engineering team focused on building a software platform for healthcare quality-of-care data. Our software looks to improve healthcare by making data abstraction and reporting more accessible and accurate. During my leadership tenure (since Director) I have:- Successfully led the transition from a primarily services-based company to a data, technology, and tech-enabled services organization. - Released multiple software products, including a standalone technology allowing for data abstraction and registry-quality reporting. - During leadership tenure, revenue rose from $49M/yr to $110M/yr. - Technology is presently both the fastest growing and second largest revenue line. - Built a data-engineering practice and accompanying architecture to support data-related products and analytics. - Established data science practices and NLP projects to automate aspects of our service delivery- Grew the team from generalist web engineers to a multi-application, cross-disciplinary department spanning data engineering, data science, DevOps, and UI/UX. - Professionalized processes with roll outs of incident response playbooks, standardized interview procedures, a career ladder, and inter-team SDLC. - Maintained excellent employee engagement and a high-performance culture. Employee Net Promoter Score (eNPS) within the department was 62 (50+ is considered excellent).- Experience with both buy-side and sell-side in acquisitions: - Performed technical diligence and integration on multiple tech product acquisitions. This included the successful integration of a product team with seven engineers and a legacy tech stack. - Led technical side of sale diligence during the successful company transaction in 2018.

Primary work includes literature research and synthesis for a forth coming book on nutrition. Designed and deployed a group of websites for the Sei Querce Vineyards’ product line. Built a custom content management system for the Six Oaks Farm branch of Sei Querce Vineyards. Application was written in PHP with a framework on top of a MYSQL database.

Actively contributed to two existing Rails projects with the company. These contributions included solutions to existing customer "stories", converting the Rails 3 applications to use Strong Parameters, and RSpec tests to improve coverage across the application. Used Git and Github extensively for version control and issue management.

Autonomously developed and executed a functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging study. Sole programmer for the stimuli presentation, behavioral analysis, and neural analysis scripts. Primary software tools were MATLAB, Python, bash scripts and FSL (fMRI Software Library). As the sole researcher, work included: protocol (intervention) development, subject screening and recruitment, subject scanning, and analysis design.

Developed database migration solutions for the CEO of a physicians group. Analyzed a legacy and proprietary database format used in the physicians’ EMR, and then wrote a series of scripts to extract, clean, and prepare data for migration to the modern EMR. Acted as an intermediary between the physician and the EMR firm’s IT group.

Designed, programmed, and implemented a series of Flash-based immunology cases to be utilized in forthcoming sessions of a U.C.S.B professor’s medical immunology class. I designed both the front end Flash/ASP code and the MYSQL database structure and queries.

Interviewed patients to collect data on post-trauma victims smoking habits. The project’s goal was to use the opportunity of hospitalization to impact the smoking habits of trauma patients, who have a higher rate of tobacco use than that of the general population.

Volunteered with a Rheumatologist, work included data management and sample collection/processing for clinical trials of disease-modifying agents in rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, and other autoimmune diseases
