Responsible for the selection and implementation of Dalhousie’s Advanced Network refresh scheduled for completion fall 2021. Direct high-performing teams to deliver services to support administration, learning, teaching, and research for Dalhousie’s 18,900 students spanning 5 campuses include Identity and Access Management [IAM], Single Sign On [SSO], Multi Factor Authentication [MFA], Virtual Private Networks [VPN], Advanced Anti-Malware Protection, Communication and Collaboration platform [Microsoft 365], and more.Collaborate with vendors, the executive and technology stakeholders as senior member of ITS supporting to influence IT services and strategy for the university. Technical Director for the Atlantic Canada Organization of Research Networks (ACORN-NS), since 2016, which connects provincial universities, research, and health organizations. Implemented a Security Information and Event Management [SIEM], 3rd party monitoring via Security Scorecard, Intrusion Detection System [IDS], and hardware refresh. Participate nationally on Canarie’s Technical, Network, and Strategic Planning committees.
