I am a goal orientated, self motivated person who sees the advantage of adding value to the relationships that I build in the sales environment. I am a lateral thinker and like to fast track the relationships that I develop by selling myself before I sell my products. People support people. I operate from a position of trust and honesty and seek to deliver a quality and professional service to those people who I interact with, so that my efforts are sustainable over a long period of time. I had the opportunity to take a voluntary retrenchment from Adcock Ingram Pharmaceuticals in August 2012 after working for them for 16-years as a Specialist Ophthalmic Representative, and decided to take a sabbatical and follow a passion that I had by setting up and working for an organization, (which I co-founded with some friends), called Newkidz on the Block which creates awareness of orphans in the Western Cape www.newkidz.org.za This subsequently developed into a full time position and I was able to contribute to the organization's success where they now service 44 Children's Homes and many educares mostly in the Western Cape, but have started branching out into other provinces in our country. In 2015 I passed the baton over to the up-and-coming staff in the organisation to run with the vision. By means of these extreme makeovers we help to create established, well maintained 'homes' for orphans, vulnerable and destitute children in South Africa while they await their 'forever families'. A saying that we hold dear to our heart is that "there is no such thing as an unwanted child, just an unfound family" We put our efforts into building sustainable child–support networks in communities by linking potential foster families with children's homes;Promoting foster care to the general public and offering guidance to foster families;Facilitating and coordinating the renovation and maintenance of children's homes; foster family accommodation and Early Childhood Development Centers with the help of corporate sponsors. together with our sponsors we try to have these projects televised to help create awareness of the need.
