As an attorney at Chuhak & Tecson, P.C., I concentrate my practice in commercial litigation and creditors'​ rights. In particular, I represent financial institutions in actions involving fraud, breach of contract, Articles 2A, 3, and 9 of the UCC, replevin, conversion, breach of fiduciary duty, and real estate foreclosures. Additionally, I assist clients with transactional matters by drafting and reviewing a variety of loan and real estate documents. I am licensed to practice law in the State of Illinois and am admitted to practice in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, the United States District Court for the Central District of Illinois, and the United States Courts of Appeals for the Seventh and Ninth Circuits.For seven years prior to practicing law, I held lending and leadership positions at a commercial bank in Chicago. During that time, I gained broad experience in the documentation of secured transactions, including loans for real estate acquisition and construction, and loans secured by equipment, vehicles, accounts receivable, and other assets. I managed the bank's diverse loan portfolio and real estate holdings, and coordinated the bank’s collection efforts, which included foreclosures and other breach of contract claims. Having had the unique perspective of overseeing a lending institution, I am attuned to the challenges facing creditors during the debt structuring process and also when borrowers default on obligations.
