Past publications within Penton I had been involved with include EEPN, Netronics, WSD, and ESD.• Created additional graphics from technical to cartoonwork to add entertaining and whimsical elements and flair in support of anything from publication to promotional, including on-line presentation, to result in growth and sales, and eliminating the need to hire from the outside. • Took on camera set-up and responsibilities to shoot raw video for several of the on-line interviews and B-rolls for one of Penton's many websites, www.engineeringtv.com, eliminating the need to hire from outside, and that includes an on-site press-day at the 2012 New York Auto Show presentation, and shot still-photos of the activities and surrounds for use of the site. Produced graphics for silk-screen printing on textiles such as shirts and garments, hand and travel bags, towels, umbrellas, etc. by utilizing Apple/Macintosh hardware with programs such as Adobe Illustrator 6.0, Streamline 3.0, and Photoshop 4.0. Techniques include scanning customers original art and logos for resizing, revising and print preparation and recreating and designing art and graphic matter utilizing the Macintosh software along with occasional traditional pen and ink line-art.

An on-site Freelance position in the company's art-department where I had created line art (black & white) of company products such as Sumbeam clocks and Springfield thermometers for catalogues and instructional literature. Here I had designed and created charts, graphs, and diagrams as well as creating and modifying spot illustrations for use in school text-books by applying Adobe Illustrator 6.0 via Macintosh. After the AT&T mass-layoff of 1994, I essentially had to start all over again. This was a somewhat sizable textile-printing firm, screenprinting on various garments, and I was within the art and production department, handling both creative and production. Eventually much Macintosh and Adobe skills were cultivated here, where I remained until this company had closed it's doors, which, afterward, I had made the next moves.Designed and Illustrated graphics to be printed on textiles. Created computer-ready line art to be scanned into then (Mac systems) Photoshop 3.0. Also modified art via Photoshop, converted art via AdobeSteamline and applied colors and gradients using Adobe Illustrator. Separations and output are also performed via Illustrator 5.5 (later 6.0). Traditional techniques of color separation were previously and still occasionally applied. RC Screenprinting’s clients included Collegeware USA (largest percentage), and smaller percentages of workflow from names such as Starter, Periscope, The Lilli Group, Land and Sea, Gerson & Gerson, and TeeDees.• Originated and produced much art and designs for Collegeware USA for nationwide merchandising.• Prepared art and color-separations for textile printing trade shows such as Magic and the Super Show amid short-fuse, high demand situations.
