• Develop and maintain sensory quality systems to ensure that internal quality standards and external regulatory standards are maintained throughout the company.
• Provide support for sensory development for new products in development, while strengthening co-packer, supplier and customer relationships throughout the supply chain.
• Oversee the work of analyzing, evaluating and reporting key sensory metric performance against sensory standards to senior management on a weekly basis.
• Develop and implement supplier certification programs as appropriate by roles played throughout the organization, including: ingredients to raw materials, bacterial control, quality of the materials including fat.
• Identify priority opportunities for continuous process improvement through SPC measures, controlling the process on a day-to-day basis to ensure product consistency, customer expectations.
• Directed technical operations and R&D for 4 facilities and Corporate Laboratory.

• Directed technical operations for 2 facilities and an average of 55 employees.
• Oversaw all HACCP, R&D, product quality, product formulations and yields with respect to analysis using SPC controls.
• Met strategic objectives to increase company size while maintaining plant focus on food safety and consistent quality standards.
• Implemented a new Food Safety Lab from setup to startup which processed approximately 4000 samples per week; improved overall quality by developing a teamwork approach to Food Safety which emphasized whole plant.

• Implemented and maintained high Quality Assurance and R&D for 5 facilities including the development of HACCP Plans for each of the facilities. - Developed and implemented SPC program and served as USDA liaison for 10.

• Managed all day to day QA activities at the plant which included an average of 10 employees.
• Supervised USDA Certified Lab with a budget of $400,000, annually.
• Developed full line of product specs; assisted in the writing and updating of operations manual to ensure full product support and high customer satisfaction.
• Provided technical assistance to other facilities on a regular basis.

• Designed full TQC program to support and strengthen day-to-day operations.
• Assisted with the hiring and training of all QA personnel for 3 years.
