Role split: 100% Audit.Responsibilities and experience• Manage a portfolio of audit engagements (c$1.5M) and a team of 8 people.• Member of the audit Fast & Strategic Growth team whose aim is to generate new business for the firm.• Member of the Team Structure Group aimed at restructuring the audit team to improve focus around industry groups, improve engagement with and management of people, and recognition of employees. • Co-ordinate training requirements and prepare training materials for the audit department.• Prepare technical training material on behalf of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia. • Participate in the administration of the audit department including counselling, productivity of team and billings. In addition, regularly involved in presentations to the wider audit group as part of monthly / quarterly meetings. • Liaise with other departments to ensure a high standard of client service and develop cross selling opportunities.• Involvement in proposals to prospective clients. • Determine the audit programme and manpower requirements for all engagements.• Experience includes: clients listed on the Australia Stock Exchange and AIM (UK Stock Exchange); subsidiaries of overseas parents (US, UK, Germany, Singapore, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Denmark, New Zealand); group audits covering up to 6 jurisdictions; large privately owned businesses; and not-for-profit agencies.• Clients based in technology, mining/resources, manufacturing, distribution and not-for profit.• Turnover of clients range from $5m to $300m & assets of over $1b.
