The Student Alumni Ambassadors (SAA) are partnered with the University of Delaware Department of Alumni Relations to encourage active engagement within the current and prospective UD alumni community. My role as Vice President requires me to set up professional development opportunities for the whole student body. With only a short time in this role I have already crafted Resume Building Workshops that are facilitated by UD staff and alumni, Diversity Equity and Inclusion Panels, and speakers that provide methods for marketing your strengths in online professional settings. I plan to continue to expand the conversations of how DEI creates positive workspaces for individuals and how those affects can foster a more connected Blue Hen Community.As a member of the student alumni ambassadors it is my job to network with current UD students and alumni at various events to educate them on the importance of philanthropy. Serving as a liaison to the Department of Alumni Relations, I am able to communicate the feedback of students to ensure the continual financial support of the student body. By creating and volunteering at activities on the green or networking with donors UDSAAs make sure the spirit of UD lives on past the 4 years on campus.
