I am an Experienced Sales Representative with over eight years of demonstrably successful sales work in the retail industry. I am passionate about delivering excellent Customer Service, something that I believe directly corresponds with improved sales, customer loyalty and the ability to enhance and enlarge business.Beginning as a frontline salesman, my responsibility grew to involve, amongst other things: managing a team of twenty employees, strategic management with major stakeholders, discuss strategic decisions, analysing sales data, stock management, daily communications with suppliers in South East Asia and Europe, negotiation of procurement and managing customer relationships with corporate clients.This is aided by technical proficiency in using digital tools throughout my working life. I am proficient in using tools such as the Microsoft Office Suite, and have intentionally sought to use modern communications technology to increase efficiency and grow the business. Through the use of digital communications tools, I have conducted business with high-profile clients and stakeholders. This demonstrates my ability to establish professional rapport through using a range of communication mediums.Setting my work experience aside, my external interests have led to the development of transferable skills that I find useful in my working life. I am interested in academic research and have completed an Honours Degree in Theology and Religious Studies with History. This diverse programme of study emphasised mixed methods research and I developed expertise in documentary research, source analysis, understanding contemporary social issues, the use of qualitative data and a range of other methodologies. I use these methods in order to empathise with others from a range of backgrounds, seeking to understand the world from their vantage point. My thesis investigated how religion has changed to meet the needs of contemporary society and identifies ways in which values and beliefs are communicated to a modern audience. This proved to be a useful foundation for my career in sales as it enabled me to think more deeply about what was required to establish meaningful communication with others.
