The Mission of Parma Hockey is to develop and maintain the love of hockey in all of its stakeholders; players, coaches, parents, and fans. We will accomplish this while also providing a safe, secure, and friendly environment that allows the development of each athlete to their greatest potential. As an alumni of PHA, I am proud to be a Head Coach and be able to give back to the Association. As Head Coach of the 2018/2019 Parma Flyers Pee-Wee 2 team, I must first take a moment to thank my Assistant Coaches & All of the parents for their support. Last season, we took our bottom ranked A# team and made it to the CSHL Playoffs - quite an accomplishment! Our goals for this year will not only be matched, but exceeded. Preparation for the next level, hockey technique and individual development - both on and off the ice - have all been accomplished. Most importantly these players had have a FUN and SAFE season of hockey. I firmly believe that this is a decisive year for these kids, and myself and the Assistant Coaches will be stressing the importance throughout the season of being the best they can be both in hockey and in other aspects of their young lives. We lay emphasis on the importance of giving 100% effort and so far, these players are giving us 110% throughout the pre-season. Teaching these awesome kids to play as a TEAM is also a main focus - a skill that will stay with them for the duration of their hockey careers. As a coach, I try to instill in my players the importance of maximum effort. These amazing kids will hopefully walk away from this season not only better hockey players, but better young men who will remember this critical time of their lives with the memories made and the friendships formed. The success we have this season will be a testament to their hard work and dedication to the team, to themselves, and to the game.
