Current ResponsibilitiesIn 2006 Mike was hired by Hiland Dairy in Oklahoma City as District Manager, managing both branch and sales personnel along with key customer accounts. In 2012 Hiland transferred him to run their Kansas City division operations in preparation for transitioning the Roberts brand to the Hiland brand. He has taken leadership roles within the company and represented Hiland on industry networking committees. Mike is the Past President of the Missouri Dairy Products Association, having served on the board as Vice President and President since 2016.In May of 2021, Mike was promoted to the Prairie Farms National Sales Manager, and moved to the corporate office in Edwardsville, IL. In January of 2023, he was promoted to the Vice President of Sales.Past ExperienceMike started in the food industry after graduating college, gaining experience dealing with many organizations such as SYSCO Foods, US Foods, Eagle Snacks as a direct and broker sales rep. In 1995 Mike began his career in the dairy industry with Anderson Erickson Dairy as a sales rep in their Kansas City branch. In 1999 Mike was promoted to Sales/Branch Manager of the Kansas City office. In 2004 he went to work for Dean Foods/McArthur Dairy in Miami, FL, as Branch Manager for the Miami/Key West branches.Community InvolvementMike is an active member of the community. He served as President and Member at Large on the Board of Directors for Extreme Aquatic Team (EAT), a competitive swim team that trains and develops swimmers from developmental to nationally ranked competitors. He participated in the Redman Triathlon twice, which raises money for The Leukemia/Lymphoma Society, completing two half-ironman triathlons.EducationHe is a graduate of the University of Missouri in Kansas City where he majored in Political Science and minored in history.
