For the past 29 years, Michael has been a Vice President of Corporate Services and Chief Financial Officer in Education, a Chief Human Resources Officer in Education, Energy and Healthcare, a Senior Consultant and Entrepreneur, a Director of Operations for a Fortune 500 company and a Technical Expert at one of the world’s leading IT firms.Michael speaks English and French and has been accountable for a budget of over $140M in the Ontario marketplace and over $70M in the Québec and Atlantic Canada marketplace (2024 dollars). Michael directed 22 branches in six provinces and had responsibility for over 100 employees and over 5000 contractors. His success resulted in promotions every year and achieving the distinction as the youngest executive in North America at the $20 billion company. He is an expert in Human Resources Management, Information Technology Management, Financial Management and Facilities Management. He also specializes in Operations Management, Executive Management, Communications and Strategic Planning.Michael has appeared in a variety of media publications including Canadian Business, National Post, Financial Post, The Globe and Mail, Toronto Star, The Province and the Ottawa Citizen. He was also a regular on Toronto’s largest talk radio station (680 News) fielding industry questions and commenting on labour trends for each business quarter. He has worked with Indigenous Peoples across the country and enjoys consulting with First Nations, Inuit and Inuvialuit communities in many business capacities across the North.From being the sole student selected to attend the Ontario Educational Leadership Centre in secondary school to completing his Bachelor of Administration at the University of Ottawa, to being chosen to complete the Strategic Leadership Series onsite at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee Lubar School of Business, to gaining his CPHR designation, to achieving his MBA onsite at the University of Northern British Columbia, Michael has always been a life-long learner.
