Michael D. Thomas is executive vice president and head of Corporate & Institutional Banking for PNC Bank.Prior to being named to his current role in March 2024, Thomas served as the head of PNC Real Estate where he led origination activities for public and private real estate developers, as well as owners and investors nationwide. In addition, he oversaw Real Estate Banking, Tax Credit Solutions, Midland Loan Services and Agency Finance for PNC Real Estate.Thomas previously managed the Real Estate, Business Credit and Equipment Finance Loan Syndications teams and was responsible for product strategy and loan originations in each of these businesses. In addition, he was directly responsible for the sales and distribution of real estate loans and worked closely with the Debt Capital Markets' sales team on the distribution of Business Credit loans. Thomas also worked closely with the Corporate Securities group to market other capital markets products to PNC’s real estate and Business Credit clients.With 30 years of banking and securities industry experience, Thomas joined PNC’s Real Estate Finance group in 1997 as a vice president and relationship manager. In 1998, he joined the Loan Syndications group within Debt Capital Markets and assumed responsibility for managing the real estate syndication business in 2004. While in Debt Capital Markets, Thomas added responsibility for managing the Real Estate Investment Trust business within PNC Real Estate to his responsibilities with the specialty syndication teams. Prior to joining PNC, he worked for JPMorgan Securities, Inc. providing advisory and capital raising services to C&I and real estate clients.
