★ I led 276-person multi-functional expeditionary combat logistics operations through more than 100 insurgent attacks at the DoD’s busiest combat air logistics hub supporting 5,400 personnel and 62 aircraft, which executed 37.8K sorties and led to the capture or killing of 398 insurgents. I also maintained a fleet of 142 Mine Resistant Ambush Protected vehicles and 830 other special and general purpose vehicles worth $179M across 7 forward operating locations.- I led delivery of 62 millions gallons of fuel during 53K aircraft refueling operations, shattering the Air Force’s 30-minute response time standard by 17 minutes. I also drove innovation by devising a double over-wing nozzle for MC-12 aircraft, which cut refuel time by 19% and saved over 2 thousand hours annually. - I also acquired rocket propelled grenade defeat kits worth $2.3M from disposition pipelines and upgraded 41 Mine Resistant Ambush Protected Vehicles used to conduct over 1,200 mounted combat patrols. This initiative emboldened tactical leadership and extended their operational reach through the battle space and resulted in enhanced force protection for 570 Airmen charged to disrupt insurgent activity, deny the enemy a safe haven, and defend Bagram Airfield.

My research validated there was a perception problem and I provided recommendations to higher headquarters for more intensive program management oversight. The Air Force then sent me to that headquarters to implement my own recommendations.

★ I began my Air Force career as a Logistics Plans Officer. - I served as Installation Deployment Officer and Chief of Logistics Plans while stationed at Davis-Monthan AFB, AZ and Randolph AFB, TX (1998-2002). - In 2002 I was reassigned to Dover AFB, DE and later organized and led an expeditionary logistics unit while deployed to Uzbekistan in support of Operation ENDURING FREEDOM. - I returned from deployment to a newly created Logistics Readiness Officer career field, which combined my Logistics Plans field with the Supply and Transportation fields. The merger presented an opportunity to lead a 367-member cargo movement team. This was at the height of the war in Iraq in which there were many distribution challenges. I led local implementation of the “Pure Pallet Program,” which delivered cargo from factory to foxhole 7 days faster, and “Air Mobility Command’s Velocity Initiative,” which cut aircraft ground times and increased cargo throughput by 20%.
