About Michael Hing

An experienced stock controller, jewellery production administrator and diamantaire/gemmologist with exceptional expertise in rough and polished diamonds, rough and polished coloured stones, 'haute' jewellery and fine horology. I possess both strong academic qualifications, and a lifetime of technical experience in gems and jewellery. This gives me the ability to bridge the gap between artisan and managerial functions. I have a track record of creating new businesses, introducing new technologies and managing business-critical transformation projects, whilst simultaneously being able to handle multi-million-dollar merchandise on a day-to-day level with an exceptional level of technical skill and assurance.I am an expert in the evaluation of rough diamonds in all size ranges (from smalls to large stones), and of all types (from industrials through to exceptionals and fancy colours). I am a qualified gemmologist and artisan lapidarist with practical experience in the polishing of both diamonds and coloured gemstones, and in academic writing and technical training in the gemmological field.

Listed skills include Diamonds, Jewelry, Gems, Luxury Goods, and 26 others.
