For the past 10 years, I have been working in the pharmaceutical contract R&D and manufacturing business in Bend, OR. I have worked on many aspects of formulation development with a specific focus on bioavailability enhancement and solid form characterization. My expertise is in solid form characterization and selection, drug delivery technologies, formulation design, and physical chemistry.Previous work included postdoctoral work at Lawrence Berkeley National Lab developing in situ XPS techniques for catalysis and electrochemical systems, PhD work in the lab of Gabor A. Somorjai at UC Berkeley studying noble metal nanoparticle synthesis, characterization, and catalysis, a fellowship at IBM Almaden investigating polymer synthesis, and performing gas-phase spectroscopy of excited states at Pomona College.Specialties: drug development, spectroscopy, analytical chemistry, experiment design, project planning, surface characterization, catalytic measurements, nanoparticle synthesis
