Manage Software and Firmware teams in the USA & India (e.g. Java, Python, C++, HTML, WSDL). • Software architecture, design, development, source / build control, test, release, and support.• Web / Portal APIs (REST) and Abstraction Layers for Cloud Services and Large-Scale systems.• Network Operating Systems Software and Firmware (internal and with co-development partners). • Hardware/Firmware Bring-Up for embedded and real-time systems. • Led the development of HPE’s next generation Software Management products. Created the Architecture, Management and User Experience across HPE’s Network, Server, and Storage offerings. Developed Applications and Services for HPE’s Enterprise and Cloud Services. Generated multi $Bs in Software, Hardware and Services.• Led the development of advanced L2/L3 100Gb Ethernet and 32Gb Fibre Channel Network switches for the Enterprise / Cloud. Features included VxLAN, SDN, NFV, QoS, IPv6, DCB, PFC, FCoE, RoCE, VPN, ACI, RADIUS/TACACs+, Load Balancing, Storm Control, Multicast, Link Aggregation, Multi-Switch Stacking, Mirroring, High Availability / Redundancy / ISSU, Edge and Loop Safe. • Reorganized and structured the engineering teams to adopt Agile/Scrum/CI+CD and modern development tools. Led the development of APIs and Abstraction Layers for Large Scale and High Performance.• Restructured the quality control, test rigs, automation systems and build / release processes to meet Mission Critical standards. Led the team integrating 3rd party Hardware (e.g. Brocade/Broadcom, Marvel, Mellanox, Aruba, Arista).• Led the Networking Products development organization and transformed the development, test, build, and support teams. Tripled HPE Network Products revenue in 3 years to $600M/yr. with very high gross margins. Shipped over 10M ports. Grew product to be a major part of HPE’s multi $B Network / Server / Storage businesses.• Key engineering contact to the account and support teams of many of the world’s largest companies.
