Michael Emr, CPA joined Botwinick & Company, LLC in 2008 by merging in his own firm he founded over 20 years ago. Prior to forming his own CPA firm he worked in the tax department for a large local CPA firm, Untracht Early, LLC and served as VP of Accounting and Finance for a financial services corporation. Michael’s broad expertise in taxation and tax planning strategies includes corporate, partnership, trust, estate and individual compliance. Michael has in-depth experience with high level compliance services including multi-state allocations and consolidations. The consulting and accounting experience he possesses includes corporate reorganizations and capitalization as well as financial planning. Michael has held management and leadership positions outside the public accounting sector, serving as an executive for a financial services corporation and as a member of the Board of Directors for various non-profit groups. Michael is an active member of several professional associations including the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants. Michael received his Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Finance in 1993 from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.Specialties: Taxation and tax planning strategies including corporate, partnership, trust and individual compliance.
