About Mike Pardun

Mike has nearly three decades of leadership in start-up, private and public companies, where he has a solid track record of applying his skills to commercialize / monetize new technologies. He is an experienced operating executive and investor. Mike has participated in both sides of the fund-raising process, raising billions in debt and equity over his career. Mike has co-founded and led several companies across several industries, creating hundreds of millions in liquidity for his investors though dozens of M&A transactions and two IPO’s, including; co-founding one of the world’s first broadband Internet Service Providers (ISP) in the early 90’s (later acquired by Microsoft, now Virgin Media), building a network-based cyber-security company in the Bay Area (acquired by Boeing), an enterprise software company in Boulder, CO (acquired by HP). In addition to being a successful entrepreneur, Mike honed his skills as an investor and value creator in early stage and growth companies while a Partner at TeleSoft Partners, which held early positions in companies such as Cisco, Salesforce, Airbnb, T-mobile, Twitter, Groupon and Facebook. Mike holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of San Diego and attended the International Management program at the London School of Economics - while working in London. Mike resides in Denver, CO with his wife, two adult children & dogs. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his family, mentoring, hiking, hunting, fishing and tennis. Mike has volunteered with several organizations in the Denver area, including having served as Chairman of Denver Kids Inc., Director at the Denver Scholarship Foundation and Graland Country Day School, as well as President of the Crestmoor Community Association.

    Bighorn Renewables (BHR) develops, builds and produces a wide range of low-carbon, Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) and co-products in partnership with Beef Cattle Feedlots. We are passionate about preserving America’s agricultural heritage, catalyzing sustainable business practices, protecting our food supply, improving the health and well being of animals, and expanding America's energy sources - all done while being good stewards for our environment. Our conversion process involves a highly specialized version of anaerobic digestion to remove the methane and CO2 from beef cattle manure. BHR’s expertise goes beyond the typical conversion of manure into bio-gas for generating electricity. We incorporate advanced gas processing, up-converting the biogas produced into pipeline quality natural gas, which can then be injected into the nations interstate natural gas pipeline system. This up-converted gas is known as Renewable Nat Gas - RNG. Additionally, BHR recycles the remaining byproducts (e.g. CO2 and digestate) by directing them to re-use scenarios such as Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR) or permanent carbon sequestration, thereby further reducing our carbon intensity and improving our environment in the process.Mike has spent most of his adult life in the Rocky Mountain West and is passionate about the environment, hunting, fishing, US history and politics. Having co-founded BHR early in 2021, he is responsible for overall company strategy, company/project finance and developing strategic relationships.
