I am a “retreaded*” career professional from state juvenile corrections at the senior administrative, executive level, along with several successful businesses to my credit. I was typically credited with being a highly effective leader and a sales "closer". I have been a "gearhead" and computer geek of sorts since childhood, and in the last decade moved from just being a lifelong hobbyist, into a variety of professional roles in automotive related business. I developed a series of regional websites that provide event calendars and content for collector car and motorcycle enthusiasts! I also help locate classic vehicles for movies, videos and photo shoots. My first car project as a twelve-year-old was refurbishing a 1930 Ford Model A pickup with my brother, and moving into my high school car at 16, a 1930 Model A Tudor Sedan. Over the years, I have been associated with the Sports Car Club of America amateur racing an early Mark I Triumph Spitfire, a Corvair Monza and two MGBs. I am a trained judge with the Antique Automobile Club of America, The Porsche Club of America, Automotive Classic Historical Society and Huntington Beach Concours d’Elegance. My passion for classic cars has led me to a variety of restoration and refurbishing projects, and currently lucky to be finishing up two antique Porsche. As a certified vehicle appraiser with the International Vehicle Appraisers Network, is a privilege for me to inspect and appraise a wonderful variety of vehicles all over the southeast USA. As a writer, I have had the honor of participating on the Media Corps for SEMA (Specialty Equipment Management Association), New York Auto Show, Greater Atlanta Auto Show, Hilton Head Concours d’Elegance, and the Amelia Island Concours d’Elegance, among others.Specialties: collector car appraisals, insurance appraisals, car show judging, writer, business development, sales and marketing, entrepreneurial projects, leadership, and team building.*I choose to use the idea of “retreading” as I never see the need to “retire” as my life has been so fulfilling in pursuit of ever challenging projects and passions, even perhaps “serial” entrepreneurial efforts! 😊
