Program Management & P&L responsibilities for U.S. Commerical and Military Body Armor applications• Full P&L responsibility as well as product line planning / reporting to corporate.• Captured and managed in excess of $200 million worth of soft armor business through the U.S. Army, DSCP and USMC (includes IOTV, OTV, MTV inserts and some RBAV)• Awarded a $1.2 billion five-year ID/IQ order for the newly developed XSAPI program, having negotiated the highest margin business of any competitor.• Led various hard armor inserts (ESAPI and Side SAPI) contracts in excess of $200 million for the U.S. Army and DSCP.

Vice President of Engineering through two acquisitions: Simula, Inc to Armor Holdings, Inc to BAE Systems.• Directed activity on core products from development through production scale up, including the Advanced Combat Helmet, Improved Outer Tactical Vest and plate armor for the Individual Equipment Systems Division.• Lead teams on core products from development through volume production scale up on ground vehicle armor kits produced in the Phoenix site. Assumed head of quality responsibilities during difficult supplier quality issues.• Overall Phoenix site product line engineering responsibility that included crashworthy fixed wing and rotary wing seating systems, helicopter airbag system, parachutes and aircraft floor armor.• Created an in depth market analysis of novel polyurethane material, CleargardTM yielding a $10M valuation that was additive to the Armor Holdings purchase price of Simula.• Supported marketing to bankers and potential acquirers during the sale of Simula.• President, Simula Technologies, Inc. - Led the activities of Simula's R&D unit and test lab, ultimately consolidating the organization into parent company streamlining operational efficiencies.
