Transaction advisor for Renewable Energy projects in Sub-Saharan Africa, working for the European Union's GET.invest programme; - Recently assisted in closing the financing for a first-of-its kind mini-grid portfolio (10,000 new connections) in Lesotho after three years of building the business case with the developer and working with investors. - Currently assisting wind and solar IPP projects in Sierra Leone, Namibia, Lesotho and Tanzania as well as working with mini-grid developers in Mali and Nigeria. - I am also hoping to close a key financing round in 2024 for a prominent e-mobility company in Rwanda. Prior to this role, I was the team leader for AFD's first green credit line in South Africa, working with three banks in green lending. We placed €120 million in loan finance across ±100 RE & EE projects, covering a variety of technologies and business models. I bring a deep and tested understanding of limited recourse finance, financial modelling and infrastructure finance to transaction advisory, training workshops and investment structuring. Previous consulting engagements included conducting workshops for developers, project finance bankers and advising on project development, infrastructure finance, financial modelling and negotiating transaction agreements.
