Conducted market research into the different providers and platforms and made recommendations to the Command Staff. This effort could lead to significant improvement in the modernization of the applications as well as reduce operations costs from over $100,000 to as little as $60,000• Developed a Project Management tool using Power Applications and Power BI that was used to manage, track, and report the close to 200 projects being worked on by the section of 15 people. By using the tools available was able to circumvent the need to purchase a new program, have it evaluated by cyber security for any risks, and the new to learn a new system which can take up to six months to complete the process.• Liaison with the three different Marine Corps Portfolio Managers to complete any documentation required from their office as it related to the applications. Completed such things as a Business Investment Plan for one application that the outlined risks, budgeting concerns and the future of the system. Updated the status of the applications on various DOD systems which required coordination between the system engineers, the program manager, information systems security manager, and the Functional Area Management Team. -
Ground Communications Electronics Maintenance SupervisorMarine Forces Reserv Jun 2018 - Oct 2020Greater New Orleans Area• Oversaw the ground electronics maintenance operations for 75 Marine Corps Reserve Home Training Centers (HTCs) located throughout the country.• Reviewed and reconciled the maintenance reports from the 75 HTCs as they conducted repairs on 70 different mission essential items that accounted for 3,000 individual pieces of equipment• Recommended and coordinated with other agencies that allowed the centers to remain at a maintenance readiness above 90%• Assisted the teams in getting 63 vehicles into the Inspect and Repair Only as Necessary program to ensure that the vehicle platform the radio system went into was at optimal readiness and not needing to be replaced at $60K apiece• Inspected seven teams on the seven different functional areas of the Marine Corps Maintenance program, which included production, administration, inventory control, calibration control, installations and proper documentation of modification. Notated discrepancies in these fields and provided feedback and training to the units that allowed them to develop a corrective action plan to better manage their maintenance management programs
