As Director of International Logistics, responsible for:• Direct global logistics operations for asset reclamation: North America, Australia, and Korea. These assets include: copper telecommunication cables, electric meters, and transformers from Fortune 500 companies and the US Armed Forces.• Program management across multiple regions; hire, train, and supervise global staff.• Excellent cross-functional leadership and project management across multiple time zones with a high level of compliance and visibility with customers, vendors, and partners.• Proven capability of handling complex program management. Oversee the global movement of cargo from warehouse to end-buyer.• Establish a high level of customer satisfaction. Carry out duties regarding expansion, vendor management, invoicing, buyer’s claim resolution, contract requirements & cancellations, changes in destination, payment tracking and release of cargo. • Total cost ownership; responsible for rate negotiation and contract management with various parties involved in the process, including transportation and department budgets.• Create program parameters for logistics management system, used to file Shipper’s Letter of Instruction and customs documentation. Also designed a web-based SQL program to seamlessly track material through invoicing.Select Accomplishments:• Facilitate reduction of overall Operation costs through the development of a quality control system for every shipment, with company-wide implementation. Reduction of load times, resulting in a decrease of transportation costs; minimize steamship line damage allegations to containers, and diminish buyer claims on invoices.• Orchestrate training and mentoring of shipping, logistics, and warehouse employees in Australia. Includes 2 weeks of onsite training in Melbourne, Australia, and 24/7 support throughout the cable reclamation project.
