As Managing Principal, Michael constantly strives to learn and bring creative ideas to the wealth management process (experience). He oversees the planning and investment strategies for the firm in addition to advising clients on all aspects of their financial plans. Untangling and de-coding complex issues into an easy to understand manner provides him tremendous satisfaction.Michael is a holder of the Chartered Financial Analyst® (CFA) designation and a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER (CFP) professional. Additionally, he holds Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) and Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) designations. Michael earned a bachelor’s degree in history from the University of Minnesota and a Culinary Arts degree from Le Cordon Bleu.Michael stays active in the investment community as a member of the CFA Society of Minnesota, where he holds a leadership position as part of the membership committee. Committed to growing the future generation of fiduciary advisors, Michael provides 1:1 mentorship and hosts national speaking seminars on how to establish and operate an investment management practice. Michael lives in southwest Minneapolis with his longtime girlfriend, Jackie, and their three rescue dogs. Martin Banks and Lil’ B can be spotted at the office most days of the week as team members committed to making people smile. Michael enjoys the challenge of golf and is an active member of the Windsong Farm community. He previously played guitar in the rock band Mise en Place and enjoys listening to live music and curating his vinyl record collection. Whether it’s in the kitchen using his culinary arts background to create delicious vegan meals, or in the yoga studio mastering hatha poses, Michael loves finding new ways to improve himself and stay active.
