Michael joined Midwest Trust in July 2024 as Senior Vice President, Director of Relationship Management where he will be responsible for managing and growing strategic relationships in the trust administration and fiduciary space. Michael has over 23 years of experience in the trust and wealth management industry in various capacities. Prior to joining Midwest Trust in 2024, Michael spent 19 years at Commerce Trust where he was responsible for marketing proprietary asset management capabilities, consulting & investment advisory services, and custody services to institutional clients, which include non-profits, endowments, and foundations as well as organizations with ERISA and other types of retirement plan structures. Additionally, Michael has experience administering personal trusts, IRAs, and investment agency accounts as well as asset management and retirement planning needs for high-net-worth individuals. Michael has a Bachelor of Science in Finance and Banking and a Minor in Economics from the University of Missouri - Columbia and earned his MBA from Rockhurst University in Kansas City in 2007. He is an active member in various professional and community organizations such as the Kansas City Estate Planning Society, United Way, Boy Scouts, American Royal, St. Ann Catholic Church and is a graduate of the Centurions leadership program in Kansas City as well as The Kansas City Tomorrow leadership program in Kansas City.
