FLOE is a small software and design consultancy that works with startups and small enterprises to design, develop and manage ambitious web applications for its clients, from domains that include computer vision, news/media and manufacturing.My role as director was to interface with the clients, helping them distil and scope their product vision, into clear and actionable requirements and designs ready for development. As well as working with developers to build, test and deploy our applications.Core technologies with FLOE include ReactJS, Redux, NodeJS, Socket IO, HLS (video streaming) and Tailwind CSS.

Contracted to lead the redesign and prototyping for a suite of products used by H+K International (equiment manufacturer for large restaurant chains, including McDonalds, Burger King & Subway)Lead the redesign of the eTech web platform, used for managing the sevicing and repair of equipment within McDonald's restaurants throughout the UK, Australian and New Zealand markets.

Responsible for the technical direction of Kitman's web platform whilst leading a team of developers.Lead the introduction of Kitman's first ReactJS application, a Web UI for analysing athlete movements using Kitman’s marker-less bio-mechanical screening tool.Worked as part of a team rearchitecting legacy PHP applications into Ruby on Rails apps.Today Kitman Labs has secured $70M+ in funding and has hundreds of teams as clients across the globe, including Chelsea FC, Chicago Cubs and Bayer Leverkusen.

Started working with Kitman Labs as a full-stack software engineer from the company’s very inception. It was my role to work with the co-founders to scope and develop all aspects ‘Injury Profiler’, Kitman Lab’s first and flagship product at the time. Development had strong emphasis on PHP, Ruby, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, SVG and User Experience.Injury profile was in essence an ‘Athlete Management System’, used by professional sports teams such as Leinster Rugby and Everton FC to track and provide insights into various aspects of an athlete’s training load and wellbeing, allowing teams to make informed decisions and thus maximise the potential outcome for their teams.Kitman was able to secure seed funding from Enterprise Ireland and later secured Series A funding from BlueRun Ventures.

Worked as a full-stack developer with numerous digital agencies across Dublin, in developing LAMP based web applications for major brands, including Guinness, SPAR, 7up, VHI and Heineken.Developed performant and scalable web applications using PHP MVC frameworks, MySQL, and JavaScript.Gained experience integrating a LAMP stack web application with an Asterisk PBX (VoIP) for a call-centre based product.

Web developer working on a series of high-profile campaigns for clients that included BBC Radio Ulster, Invest Northern Ireland and Coca Cola. Lead all aspects of Flash and ActionScript development.HTML/CSS development, CMS development and integration using Expression Engine.One of the highlights was developing the web frontend of the BBC Radio Ulster website, a pioneering website in its day.
