Strategic and tactical coaching for a 70 team org delivering Salesforce’s Hyperforce platform. Worked with VP+ Engineering leaders to deliver insight and analysis on engineering effectiveness. Influenced significant org changes that improved delivery and quality. More than doubled the forecast ratio average for the entire org in two quarters. Forecast ratio is the measure of what was delivered vs what was committed (over a 6 sprint period). Certified 30 Scrum Leads and 20 Product Owners using Salesforce’s rigorous internal certification process.

Led a 55 person engineering org building products for Nonprofits and Non-Governmental Organizations. My org was mostly remote and spread across 4 countries. Owned the flagship Nonprofit Success Pack product, and launched multiple new products into existing and new markets. Worked very closely with product leadership and go-to-market leaders on strategic portfolio planning. Led architectural efforts to migrate our Force.com products into the Salesforce core, and rationalize overlap with Salesforce.org's education products. Created a plan and vendor partnership to staff EOL product lines.

Led the IT + Philanthropic technology teams for Salesforce.org, a 1,200 person social enterprise. Salesforce.org was an independent company before being acquired in 2019. Ran a 40 person org of product managers, engineers, admins, and business analysts. Owned systems for finance, sales, customer support, marketing, and community outreach. Managed Workday ERP and connections to Salesforce’s Oracle systems. Implemented GDPR for Salesforce.org.Owned all the technology for Salesforce.com's employee giving and volunteering efforts.Worked directly with the CEO, CFO and other execs to implement a portfolio planning process that managed investment in IT projects. Implemented a new quote to order system using all Salesforce products and technology, including integrating Salesforce.org systems with Salesforce.com's systems. I was a key member of the team that integrated Salesforce.org into Salesforce.com post acquisition.

Part of the team that launched the Salesforce Oregon office in Hillsboro, Oregon. Directly involved in hiring the first 100 employees of the office. Worked with the COO and real estate teams to establish the goals and community involvement for the office. I was the local face of Salesforce and met with government officials and Oregon-based customers. Created (and managed directly) an innovative development team that built several cutting edge applications for Salesforce employees using the best of Salesforce + open source technology.Partnered with the security team to create principles for data security and secure development best practices in application development for IT.

Created and managed a self-contained team with software engineering, testing, and system/network admins. I was part of the Excite.com/@Home integration team.My first real engineering manager job. My first exposure to huge scale, and then later - exposure to collapse and bankruptcy.
