Possessing sound knowledge of guidelines, regulations, procedures, concepts and methodologies, the Senior Compliance and Enforcement officer is tasked with the provision of advice to management and partners in relation to the enforcement of the Quarantine Act.Accountable for ongoing collaboration with partner agencies and stakeholders, the promotion of legislative compliance, the provision of advice and guidance in relation to ongoing prosecutions, assessing the impact of policy revision, the provision of advice in the development of enforcement-related SOPs and the delivery of court testimony in support of measures in place to stem the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Greeting and assessing international arriving travelers at Toronto Pearson Airport. Accountable for providing the necessary engagement in support of halting the introduction and spread of communicable disease into Canada by:Screening arriving travelers for signs and symptoms of COVID-19.Communicating basic information on travelers' quarantine obligations.Facilitating the search for solutions in the development of their quarantine plans when necessary.Providing information, advice, and support to partners at entry points.Enforcing relevant sections of the Quarantine Act where required.

The IOCC (Integrated Operations and Control Centre) is the main communications hub for the GTAA (Greater Toronto Airports Authority) and is comprised of five separate operational groups serving the public and airport stakeholders on a 24/7 basis.Accountable for the daily operation of the IOCC with particular emphasis on the management of personnel within this unionized environment. Coached and mentored staff which enhanced employee engagement through a culture of empowerment and team work.Maintained real time direct communications between the IOCC and all airport community stakeholders during periods of irregular operations.

Security Response Coordinators are the primary point of contact between the airport community and Toronto Pearson’s security team on a 24/7 basis.Accountable for the oversight of contract security personnel positioned at appropriately strategic locations throughout the airport complex as well as the reporting of significant developments impacting the aviation industry.Responsible to provide for airport representation during periods of security related functional challenge and in support of operational continuity.

Safety and Security Officers (SSOs) are uniformed representatives of Toronto Pearson Airport. Accountable for airport presence at collision scenes or situations involving personal injury and designated as a Municipal Law Enforcement Officer, provided preliminary investigation and reporting in support of Risk Management principles.Provided oversight of commercial vehicle operations, enforcement of the Trespass to Property Act and supervision of the contract security provider responsible for traffic flow on the airport property.

The Security Intelligence Unit is the primary representative of Toronto Pearson Airport for the purpose of internal investigations, labour disruptions as well as liaison with law enforcement and intelligence gathering agencies.Accountable for the investigation and reporting of internal matters with escalation to law enforcement where warranted as well as the interpretation of intelligence data in support of an official airport security posture.Tasked with the continued liaison with representatives from the various unions at the airport and the maintenance of communication in order to mitigate the potential for unnecessary operational disruption.

Provide representation in Provincial Offences Act matters. Provide Private Investigation services on a contract basis.
