The goal of my internship at Lenzing AG is to create a road map for the wet-laid process in a pilot plant-scale. Refining parameters are going to be evaluated thus optimized in order to obtain the desired non-woven product. Working in a project team strengthens my communication skills and allows me to learn from experienced process engineers and chemists.

I conducted research on Bioretention Stormwater Treatment. The goal of this project was to evaluate the role of Mycelium in different kinds of soils in specifically designed bioretention columns. The obtained samples were analyzed in terms of nutrient and heavy metal concentration. Moreover, a deeper understanding of the hydrological properties of the bioretention system was gained.
