- Measure and characterize the heavy-tail persistent photoconductivity effect in amorphous oxide (e.g., ZITO) and III-V semiconductors (e.g., n-AlGaAs/GaAs heterostructures) using the frequency-modulated Hall effect measurement (FMHM) developed within this research group- Characterize the time-resolved photoluminescence (TRPL) response of transition metal complexes, particularly platinum Pt(II) complexes, in collaboration with the Institute of Inorganic and Analytical Chemistry at Universität Münster to better model the heavy-tail behavior- Measure and characterize the heavy-tail electroluminescence decay in organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs) in an effort to better understand the their electroluminescence degradation kinetics- Utilized and modified a heavy-tail fitting algorithm with only four fit parameters in an effort to unify the heavy-tail behavior exhibited by a broad range of disordered solid-state systems

- Characterized III-Nitride (AlN, GaN, AlGaN) structural, optical, and electrical properties using x-ray diffractometry (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), photoluminescence (PL), atomic force microscopy (AFM), and Hall effect measurement- Fabricated and tested novel MOCVD-grown III-Nitride solar blind deep-ultraviolet avalanche photodiodes (APDs)- Performed x-ray crystallography using Philips HR-XRD to determine the mosaicity and dislocation density of III-Nitride growths as part of a summer undergraduate research grant (SURG)- Investigated III-Nitride epilayers and heterostructures (pin, superlattice, etc.) using MATLAB to analyze and model characterization data- Won undergraduate research funding for the summer of 2022 for an investigation into III-Nitride x-ray crystallography.- Won the "Outstanding Undergraduate Researcher Award" in the ECE department (2023)

- Authored a current transformer (CT) burden/load calculation report validating the proposed addition of slipover CTs by referencing inputs, justifying assumptions, and solving for worst case scenarios- Drafted electrical drawings—including transformers, breakers, and relays—supporting the development of a new 345 kV "behind the meter" (BTM) switching station for the LaSalle nuclear power plant- Collaborated with S&L, ComEd, and Constellation engineers to navigate the zones of control at the LaSalle nuclear plant BTM expansion and work through revisions and modifications

- Designed new and revised existing drawing schematics of retract assemblies using SolidWorks to reflect part and design changes- Collaborated with sales and production to design bespoke retract and landing gear assemblies for clients by considering physical parameters in calculations to ensure design feasibility
