TL;DR - I work with emerging tech for streaming content, video distribution and monetizationI have worked my entire career in the digital video space including everything from production, distribution and strategy with a focus on rapidly growing businesses like streaming and OTT. I began my career freelancing in video production for various production companies and digital media brands like Teen Vogue, Hungry Man, Maxim Magazine, Scout Sports, Sesame Street, Project Runway, Food Network and more. I then took my love for working with brands and joined the Time Out New York team to kickstart their video efforts and expand their content to digital platforms. I then joined AOL / HuffPost (pre-Verizon acquisition) to help manage video syndication in partnership with OTT platforms, and saw this emerging business growing at an accelerated rate and pushed to expand our syndication business to include direct-to-consumer products on Roku, Fire TV, Apple TV, Android TV, smart TVs and more. I later expanded my role at Verizon Media to manage the video business strategy and helped launch one of the first live linear channels on The Roku Channel and the Amazon-branded 'News' app on Fire TV.I then left Verizon to pursue a startup, VENN TV, with a focus on gaming content and the chance to make a new product from scratch. I played a key role in successfully launching a new digital media brand and expanding the network to dozens of OTT, smart TV and FAST platforms - the majority of that time spent in quarantine. I then joined the Disney Streaming team as a Senior Technical Account Manager to support global device partnerships and the expansion of Disney+ globally as well as managing device partnerships for Hulu, ESPN+ and Star+. During my time at The Walt Disney Company, I supported the expansion of Disney+ into new international markets through global and regional partnerships and integrations; I drove the launch of Disney+ on Windows including project managing and contract renewals; relaunched our DTC apps on PlayStation as native apps adding new media functionality including 4K playback; launched Star+ on regional STB devices; supported the launch of Disney+ ad tier, and more.
