Selected accomplishments: •A balanced budget every year as county manager, with no increase in taxes during my tenure as County Manager.• Led, facilitated and implemented positive employee relations with annual events to present to all county employees and implemented competitive and creative employee compensation and benefits and employee growth programs • Led the creation of a new county division: Justice and Human Services and a new county department focused on behavioral and mental wellness. •Created a succession plan and provide training / education opportunities for each county employee•Responsible and oversaw vertical construction projects valued at approximately $100,000,000 to include the repurpose of underused county offices into a 10,000 square foot state-of-the-art medical facility, which resulted in additional professional health care jobs to meet the community needs, and other projects: fire stations, 93,000sqft multi-story court facility, law enforcement facilities and emergency dispatch center and more than $200,000,000 in infrastructure / road projects. •Primary representative & negotiator on resolving a complex tax dispute that resulted in securing nearly $100 million in guaranteed revenue to multiple taxing jurisdictions. •Chief negotiator on economic development projects that resulted in billions of dollars of private sector capital investment, spurring hundreds of jobs, spanning multiple industries: renewable energy, nuclear, natural gas processing, potash mining and processing, transportation, retail and hospitality. •Implemented a housing plan with two separate municipalities that led to the development of a variety of housing options to alleviate a significant housing shortage in the area.• Eliminated local government debt obligation savings tax payers millions of dollars of interest savings and ultimately retiring all debt and earning an improved bond rating improved from “A3” to “A1”. • Led the creation of a multiagency consolidated emergency dispatch (911) center, that included combining staff from multiple entities into a new stand alone government entity. •Deployment of numerous technological and software programs to county departments that have improved employee productivity and morale.•Engaged, collaborated, and partnered with each incorporated municipality and a higher education institution for numerous quality of life, infrastructure and economic development projects.
