During my tenure at Miller Brewing Company I spent two years in a rotational assignment as the Controller of the second largest beer distributorship in the U.S. owned by Miller Brewing Company with revenue in excess of $85M annually. I reported to the General Manager with responsibilities for all general accounting, data processing, accounts payable, payroll, credit, and accounts receivable functions with a staff of 20 people across 2 facilities. My responsibilities also included inventory control and route reconciliations, as well as accounting for discounts, allowances, couponing and promotional spending.I inherited significant audit issues which were resolved by strengthening operational procedures, diligent inventory management, and hiring key professional positions.
