During his association with Sierra Systems, Mr. Gennis had a number of roles in the Ottawa office:First, as part of the Ottawa management team, Mr. Gennis assisted with business planning, resource management, and the development of best practices and project delivery guidelines. Second, Mr. Gennis was Sierra’s Business Development lead and Delivery Manager for a major (approx. $20 million) professional services contract with the Government of Canada. As part of the Government’s Shared Services Initiative. Mr. Gennis’ role involved business development, resource planning, proposal development, project management, and contract management.

Mr. Gennis was the CGI Delivery Manager for a number of clients/projects, including:Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) - Mr. Gennis was the project executive for a major Information Management initiative involving the transformation and automation of processes related to fingerprint identification. Canada Post Retail Business Development - Mr. Gennis developed a program plan around automated services for consumers and business, as it prepared to automate its retail locations. Mr. Gennis led the development of CGI’s solutions for automated licensing applications/renewals and registration for government programs.Mr. Gennis helped create and manage the Government Innovation practice in CGI’s Ottawa office.

Mr. Gennis developed business strategies, marketing plans and project plans for a number of PwC’s global clients, including:A Dutch consortium bidding on a digital terrestrial broadband license for the delivery of television and internet based services, Radio-Canada, where Mr. Gennis developed a business plan around a streaming channel for the delivery of entertainment and informational programming. His activities included market research, and the development of programming themes and content packaging. Bell Mobility, where Mr. Gennis developed a competitive analysis related to retail distribution strategy and market coverage.Madacy Entertainment, where Mr. Gennis developed a business opportunity framework for Madacy to use as springboard for revenue growth.

Mr. Gennis’ managed a number of marketing projects, including establishing and leading the Marketing function, and overseeing a staff of 12 marketing specialists in various roles.
