I am a Procurement Lead at Lafarge Egypt, a leading global building materials and solutions company. I have a Bachelor's degree in Automotive and Tractors Engineering from Helwan University Cairo, and I hold multiple certifications in inventory management, planning, logistics and data analysis. In my current role, I manage the procurement activities of various production services clusters and CAPEX projects in accordance with the sourcing strategy and the policies and procedures of Lafarge Egypt. I also lead selected sub-category spend elements, collaborate with the category manager, and ensure compliance and the highest level of controls. I have successfully delivered savings to the company and reduced the total cost of ownership by conducting supply market analysis, negotiating with suppliers, and implementing best practices. I have also enhanced the P2P operation by ensuring on-time performance, adherence to safety and quality standards, and effective communication with internal and external stakeholders. Before joining Lafarge Egypt, I worked as a purchasing engineer at Egyptian German Automotive (EGA), where I gained valuable experience in the automotive industry. I was responsible for sourcing, contracting, and following up the delivery and payment of automotive spare parts and consumables, as well as reviewing and adjusting the stock based on engineering changes. I also used Oracle & Microsoft Dynamics ERP systems to execute the purchase cycle and evaluate the suppliers' performance. I have strong problem-solving, analytical, and presentation skills, which enable me to identify opportunities, assess risks, and provide solutions for various procurement challenges. I am also a team player, a fast learner, and a result-oriented professional, who is motivated to grow and develop in the procurement field.
