Propulsion Engineer
CurrentRole & Responsibilities: I work within the propulsion team on the integration of Stratos V’s first cryogenic bi-propellant engine, Firebolt. My primary tasks involve integrating the engine and ground systems with the rocket's body, ensuring proper alignment, and developing a flight-compatible feed system to support controlled fuel flow and pressure.Technical Contributions: Collaborate closely on testing and validating the fire-extinguishing systems for safety, and on designing a robust feed system capable of precise fuel delivery for the reusable engine. The system is optimized for DARE’s goal of creating a fully recoverable and reusable rocket.Project Goals: Stratos V aims to demonstrate the feasibility of a reusable student-built rocket, focusing on efficient, repeatable launches and environmental sustainability. As DARE’s first liquid engine rocket, Stratos V targets significant technological milestones, including high-precision dynamic pressure regulation to control fuel flow and maximize engine efficiency.
