Team lead for embedded software development at FleetCarma. Responsibilities include software architecture, code development, work planning, and managing the development and release process for our embedded software. Additionally work on cloud-based tools to monitor and manage our devices.Our embedded software enables a sophisticated vehicle telematics device that can detect and connect to both conventional and electric vehicles to collect rich data for our connected car platform.

Instructor for the Spring 2016 offering of ECE 155: Engineering Design with Embedded Systems

Run weekly tutorial sessions for Mechatronics Engineering course MTE 241: Introduction to Computer Structures and Real-time Systems.

Designed and fabricated both lab equipment and experiments to support research on thermally induced vibrations of structures intended for space applications.

Worked in the Product Design group as an Engineering Intern. Day-to-day tasks involved mechanical CAD design of physical test apparatus (e.g. fixtures) as well as the design and execution of test procedures to verify the performance and/or specifications of new product prototypes.

Working in the Major Projects group, I compiled and analysed lessons learned data from past projects that could be applied to new projects at various stages of development. I also participated in lessons learned exercises with project leaders in the field to add to the group's knowledge base.I also worked on a new company-wide online platform to allow employees from across the company to submit lessons learned to an online database. That database is queried by the lessons learned group to improve the execution of new projects through all phases of development.This was a great role for me because continuous learning and improvement is a really strong motivator for me and influences my work daily. I don't think I appreciated how important that experience was at the time, but today I try to use much of what I learned to ensure the documentation and transfer of knowledge, to reflect on what did and did not work (even if it's just me on a small project), and to create best practices.

As part of the reliability engineering team at Suncor's Firebag In-Situ extraction site, I worked to track maintenance and identify reliability issues with plant equipment such as pumps, heat exchangers, piping, etc. This allowed the team to prioritize equipment maintenance and replacement. I also assisted in troubleshooting equipment performance and system design issues in the field.
