As a Maintenance Supervisor:Provided technical guidance and oversight for 4 team leaders and 17 junior technicians. Developed and implemented guidelines for requisitioning and maintaining adequate stock inventories reducing aircraft downtime by 40 percent over a 15 month period. Performed maintenance trend analysis and applied production control, quality control, and other maintenance management principles and procedures to shop operations. Performed systems technician duties as necessary.► Supervised the daily operations of an aircraft maintenance team, consisting of 21 personnel, which completed in excess of 4,700 maintenance work-orders for 14 OH-58D aircraft during fiscal year 2008.► Formally recognized for contributions to the successful completion of more than 70,000 combat flight hours and 30 months of service in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.As a Technical Inspector:Evaluated maintenance operations for compliance with directives, technical manuals, work standards, safety procedures, and operational policies. Maintained and inspected aircraft maintenance documentation and records.► Developed and initiated a cross training program for Forward Arming and Refueling Point operations which resulted in the safe refueling and rearming of two OH-58D aircraft in seven minutes under combat conditions.As a technician:Diagnosed, troubleshot, and repaired malfunctions on OH-58D avionics, electrical, and armament systems and components including solid state and transistorized subsystems according to pertinent technical manuals, directives and safety procedures. Performed maintenance, authorized modifications and alignment on aircraft weapons systems. Troubleshot equipment wiring harnesses using technical manuals and schematic drawings to diagnose and isolate faults and effect repairs.
