• Designed and implemented a new environment for our Australia office using VMware that consisted of a domain controllers, database servers, web servers, and management servers. Utilized Vsphere 5.0 and vCenter.
• Set up lab environment to investigate root cause and conduct analysis to determine why customer servers and database issues occurred. This was implemented using VMware and the vSphere client in MS Server environments.
• Worked in conjunction with IBM to refresh our internal hardware with a blade server environment.
• Utilized vSphere, vCloud Director, vCenter Operations Manager platforms and tools for our internal office network and test labs.
• Working within MS-SQL to setup replication and maintenance jobs; backing up and restoring databases; rebuilding indexes in databases; monitoring processes in Activity Monitor.
• Utilized Active Directory to authenticate our hosted clients to their application. We also use this in conjunction with DFS. DNS is used on a daily basis to create A Records, and CNAMEs to configure our web applications.
