Body Shop Manager
CurrentManage the day to day operations of the primary Body Shop Operation and 24 employees.o Establish objectives for all body shop operations.o Maintain efficient communications to promote harmony and a team spirit.o Build and maintain good working relations with large commercial customers.o Prepare daily status reports for primary commercial account.o Obtain approval and agreement to the written estimates.o Build and maintain good relations with the customers, to encourage their loyalty and obtain their recommendations.o Welcome retail customers in a friendly and professional manner.o Provide a high quality repair service to prevent reworks for the shop.o Handle customer complaints.o Examine damaged vehicles to determine structural and mechanical damage.o Evaluate the cost of labor and parts to repair or replace each damaged part.o Review repair cost estimates with the body shop technicians.o Weigh the feasibility of repairs against the replacement of parts.o Use the CCC One System efficiently to prepare the estimates.o Monitor the progress of repairs on vehicles in the shop.o Verify the quality of the completed work.o Follow up on part orders to ensure that the parts are available.o Verify the technicians’ productivity reports and the corresponding pay sheets.o For warranty work, follows the appropriate procedures.o Ensure that the appropriate safety equipment is available and is being adequately used.o Motivate the personnel and participate in hiring personnel.o Manage and direct the work flow for all body shop employees.o Encourage team work in an environment focused on customer service.o Manage in a manner that promotes a desirable working environment that promotes confidence and boosts the morale of its employees.
