Diabetes Australia is the national body for people affected by all types of diabetes & those at risk. We work in partnership with consumers, health professional & researchers to deliver strategic priorities focused on:• Diabetes leadership–national advocacy raising profile, awareness• Diabetes Management–national self-management programs, prevent complications & building capacity• Diabetes Prevention–prevention programs for those at risk, diabetes & health communities, workplaces & environments• Diabetes Research–influence research funding & agenda.Currently 1.7million Australians are living with diabetes. We welcome Australian organisations to engage with us to raise awareness, develop strong health & wellbeing programs for employees & raise funds for diabetes research, education, prevention & a cure.My work includes;sourcing commercial partnerships with corporate organisations & pharmaceutical providers, increasing access to diabetes education & supplies in the community & engaging stakeholders.By partnering with us your organisation can build a positive profile in the community.How to get involved:• Develop a Health & Wellbeing program for your workplace with support & advice from Diabetes Australia• Implement an employee giving program at your workplace for employees to support charities like us through the payroll system or add DA–Vic to your existing workplace giving program• Sponsor an education program or fundraising event• Get involved with our fundraising events such as Run Melbourne each July or City2Sea each November• Initiate a corporate volunteering program at your workplace for one of our events• Donate a percentage of your profits to us• Donate goods or services that can be used as a raffle prize or auction item such as dinner for two, weekend accommodation or signed memorabiliaPlace a donation tin in your workplaceContact our fundraising team about raising awareness & funds for diabetes across Australia on (03) 8648 1829.
